The dangers of toxic chemical cleaners

You can get green with green cleaners without the fear of harm to your health or environment. Maintaining a clean household involves the use of all types of cleaning products.  Most of the conventional cleaning products we have grown to use are chemical based with hazardous risk to our health.  Not only are they health risks to us but also to the environment;  all you have to do is look at the labels on these products, “Caution”,  “Hazardous”, and “Poison”.

Just accidentally ingesting or even physical contact with the typical housing cleaners can be dangerous or even fatal.  Continuously breathing in the fumes of these chemicals can damage your health over time.

Breathing the fumes of toxic chemical cleaners, especially over time, can be damaging to your health.  Trace amounts of chemicals left over on the surface and air after cleaning can affect your health as well as the air quality.   In fact, the air inside your home can be more polluted then the air outside due to all the chemicals in your home.get green cleaning

Natural cleaners

There are many substitute cleaning products for the harsh and toxic cleaners.  Natural green cleaners use natural non-toxic ingredients.  These eco-friendly products leave your house clean and fresh.  They tend to be allergy-free with no perfumes or harmful dyes and are biodegradable.  Not only can you buy these products, but also you can make natural cleaners yourself.

Another class of cleaners is labeled non-toxic.  They may or may not contain natural ingredients. Although not really chemical free, non-toxic means that the chemicals in the product are less of an irritant to us.  Non-toxics are free of the harmful chemicals like petrochemicals, ammonia, chlorine bleach and Volatile organic compounds or VOCs (gases or vapours emitted by various solids or liquids, many of which have short- and long-term adverse health effects.)   Non-toxics are easier on the environment than conventional harmful chemical cleaners.
